Lecture slides

The slides for each lecture are available at least one day before class. You can download the full slide show in PowerPoint (PPT) or Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. If you don't have PowerPoint installed on your machine, download a free viewer and then try opening the file. You can download a the Acrobat reader from the Adobe website.

To print the slides in PowerPoint

  1. Click the link for the slides you want and choose Open.
  2. From the File menu, choose Print.
  3. In the Print what box, select Handouts.
  4. In the Slides per page box, select the number of slides to show on each page. The higher the number, the fewer pages you'll need to print.
  5. Click OK.

To print the slides in Acrobat Reader

  1. Click the link for the slides you want.
  2. From the File menu, choose Print.

Copying a file to your machine

These files are in Office 2000/XP format. If you're using a version earlier than Office 97, first download a free converter before opening a file:

For PowerPoint slide shows:

  1. Click a link to open the file.
  2. Choose Save As from the File menu. 

    If PowerPoint isn't installed on your machine, a dialog box automatically appears, asking where you want to download the file. After you save the file, you can view it using a PowerPoint viewer.
  3. Save the document to a folder on your machine.
